Find your inner beat, play music with your heart and explore your creativity in a workshop for all ages, all languages, and all instruments! Bring your own instrument or get a fun one from us!

Rodrigo Matta, a Colombian percussionist who teaches and performs a technique known as Improvisation with Signs. The technique was developed to facilitate musical creativity in a harmonized way without any experience required. It allows the group to interact in a synchronized improvisation in which the conductor and interpreters harmonize their creativity in real-time compositions using any kind of instruments, their voice or their own bodies.

Rodrigo also directs La Percumotora, a group of 15 proffessional musicians playing exclusively with this technique in Colombia. He will be in Europe this summer teaching this technique internationally in festivals and institutions like Fridhems Folkhögskola in Sweden, Schule fürs Leben in Germany, and Tandem Studio in Spain. He will also be offering a workshop at Nieuwland Amsterdam.
